I suggest you invite Dr. Tyson Beale, Associate Dean at Fayetteville State University to speak to your students. Dr. Beale is young (approx. 35) and is an inspiring speaker. I recently heard him give an address in NC and it was moving. He shared in brief his story about overcoming obstacles and progressing beyond strong holds. It lead me to tears as he articulated “break-free” from your past and press towards a forward trajectory (this was an academic discussion for college freshman). He is a doctor and comes from the Baltimore area. Just a suggestion – you won’t be disappointed. This brother grabs the attention of listeners.
